About Emily

I came to where I am now, through a series of stepping stones, that gradually opened out to a wider path.

Thinking back, my first memory of feeling the call to help another was at age 13, when I felt deeply moved by those around me. From a young age I often felt quite bewildered by my surroundings, the rules and the expectations placed upon me. I recall growing up feeling I had one foot in the ‘every day grind’ and another in a more ethereal place. It was because of this that over the years I began to study human behaviour, at the time; to fill in gaps in my knowledge and feed my curiosity.

Heading to where my heart directed me, wasn’t that simple as first I had a series of challenging lessons to go through myself.

I studied a Fashion & Textile Degree at University and it was during this time I became interested in using the Arts as therapy. After graduating I switched direction and studied Art Therapy.

Due to my health issues at the time, I began to dip into holistic therapies and quickly could feel the benefits. It was a system that made much more sense to me; treating the body, mind and spirit was a language that I had understood somewhere deep inside.

I was gifted a Native American Flute and it was from this point that my heart opened in a way that marked a new chapter in my life. I became immersed in Native American culture and teachings and began to apply the wisdoms to every day life. Years later, I trained for three years; and was awarded my practitioner level in Reiki, through the lineage of Dr. Mikao Usui.

I continued to deepen my interests in shamanic and energy healing through ceremony and training and began turning to nature more and more for guidance and self healing.

Through my own personal therapy, I came across EFT and instantly decided to train in this field. I noted how quickly it worked for myself. It was far more effective than stand alone talking therapies. I went on to train as a practitioner through The Energy Therapy Centre, London.

My practice combines, EFT- Acupoint Stimulation, Mindfulness, body awareness and intuitive energy healing- I often work with the senses to encourage deeper relaxation. For example, I may bring in colour, sound or movement.

I treat each person uniquely and do not have a set framework, as I like to honour each individual that I sit side by side with. I encourage ‘you healing you’ and sit with you as a guide, witness and supportive ally.

Currently; I am extremely greatful to be embarking on a shamanic journey; walking around the medicine wheel, understanding my own journey in new ways and deepening teachings.

I also run a group for Autistic Women, based in London. Arranging in person gatherings, online workshops & providing ongoing support. I’m particularly interested in the encouragement of self regulation, stepping into ones true self and understanding how a flow state can be achieved in an individual.

In my spare time I enjoy walking in the woods and creating art inspired by nature.
